Hooray for helmets
Aug. 7th, 2002 03:54 pmI had a nasty spill on my bicycle on the way to work this morning.
Hooray for helmets--I actually landed on the side of my head and slid, scarily enough. I'm mostly OK--bruised and scraped knees, sore palms. Could've been much worse.

Walking the mile to work before icing my right knee might've been a bad idea, in retrospect.
The bike's front wheel is bent, I'll have to take it in to the bicycle co-op to see if it's fixable. Sigh. It's my main form of local transportation.
